About us
Before I was born, my mum got several prophecies about me, all of which came to pass except one: I would be born with dreadlocks. She’s told this story for many years.
As I grew up, I noticed my love for rough hair. I enjoy playing with my hair whenever it grows long. I would sometimes roughen the edges. It made me feel cool, like some genius. In Early 2023, I decided to experiment with locking my hair. When I was about to, I jokingly said to myself, “I’m only fulfilling the prophecy my mum had about me”. But as I reflected on that, I discovered that has been my actual story. The things I’m most proud of today came from pushing my limits, and not waiting on life to hand them down to me.
And so, Corty isn’t just a haircare brand. It’s a brand that seeks to push people to break their self-limits. We want to make people more expressive with their hair.
